Not too long ago a bunch of other food enthusiasts had a spontaneous craving to go for Korean barbeque. That, coupled with the fact that there was one among us that has never tried pork bone soup before, gave way for discussion to have Korean food for dinner. Word became plans, plans became actions, and these actions ultimately became another food adventure! So off I went with Justine (@foodigatorJ), Joie (@zoeticepics), Charles (@charleslaw), and Kat S, to Korean Village Restaurant located in Toronto's Koreatown. While there are an overwhelming number of options in the area for Korea food, you really can't visually miss this restaurant. They have a huge lit up yellow sign to let you know that you've come to the right place.

[Toronto] Come and Get It!
Review Location:
170 Spadina Ave
Toronto, ON
"Restaurant Today, Condos Tommorrow. When? Who knows? so come and get it!" This is literally the first thing I see on a sign walking into the restaurant. And I think it does a good job summing up Come and Get It! (@comeandgetit416) the newest grab-and-go sandwich joint at Spadina and Queen. Having only opened for just a couple months, it's fated to be turned into a Condo project sometime this year. I have it say its an unfortunate decree -- the food was great!

Joey Don Mills is located in Toronto's very first open air shopping centre, Shoppes at Don Mills. This is the second Joey Restaurants location in Ontario, the first one being next to The Eaton Centre. Offering a casual fine dining environment and a reasonably priced ethnically diverse menu, it's no wonder they become as popular as they have!

Pimenton Giveaway Contest [closed]
Have you checked out my cooking class at Pimenton yet? If you have then you'll know how much fun it was! If you know me, you'll know that I have the biggest sweet tooth. I'm always down for dessert, chocolate, and whatever other sweets! I think Chef Jose must've picked up on this because on behalf of Pimenton he has generously agreed to donate a whole cake (the lovely Santiago Almond Cake that I tried during his Paella class) to one lucky reader!
Win me, win me! :)
I decided to up the number of prizes to 4 by giving away 3 of these cute little personal-sized paella cooking kit. It includes the key essentials you need to cook the perfect paella: bomba rice, oilive oil, Pimenton hot paprika, and a flat bottom paella pan.
Paella for one? No problemo.
Different Ways to Enter:
1) Follow @PimentonTO (+1 entry)
2) Like Pimenton on Facebook and a post (+1 entry)
3) Follow me @citrusblack (+1 entry)
4) Tweet the following message (+1 entry, max of one entry per day):
Simple, yes yes? So get on it! You can do one, two , or all five of them for entries. A whole cake or paella kit is just waiting for you to take home! Of course if you end up wanting to share some of your winnings with me, I'm okay with that too!
Fine print: At this time no extra entries awarded for willingness to share...unfortunately. Haha :)
FOUR winners will be chosen by randomizer, enter by March 25rd, 2012, midnight.
Good luck! :)

March 26th, 2012 Edit:
So the contest is over, but I want to give a BIG BIG thanks to Pimenton for sponsoring this giveaway. Make sure you follow and like them for future goodies and updates! :) Secondly, an even bigger thanks for everyone who entering the contest! I tallied all the entries in Excel and with a handy randomizer, the winners are as follows:
Personal Paella Set #1: @canele
Personal Paella Set #2: NC (from the comment box)
Personal Paella Set #3: Rowena Andrade
Santiago Almond Cake: @nelsonhu
Please either send me a Twitter direct message or an email with your first and last name, and I'll let you know how to claim your prize.
Thanks for entering, congratulations, and enjoy! :)

[Toronto] E11even
Location Review:
15 York Street
Toronto, Ontario
Brought to you by the same makers of Toronto's most popular sports bar: Real Sports Bar & Grill, comes a rather elegant and sophisticated restaurant. E11even (@E11evenToronto) is located just outside of the Air Canada Center and provides a fine dining experience of North American cuisine. They have a lot to boast here. They have an exquisite menu, dazzling venue, relaxing summer patio, very friendly staff, and is home to Canada's only female Master sommelier . Even their washrooms are something they are proud about (more on this later)!
